    A long time coming........

Well it has been almost two months since my last blog. I really have been doing a poor job keeping you all updated as to how the "World of John" is going, so please forgive me. With only 1 month left in the semester, I am really starting to crack down and get into study mode. But with all the distractions that I face on a daily basis, it is much easier said than done.

Sparing you from the boringness that is my academic life, I would rather talk about my plans for Thanksgiving, or as I like to call it: Turkey Day. Hopefully, next week my Professors will cancel all of my Wednesday lectures so that I can go back down South extra early on Tuesday (instead of having to wait until Wednesday night). It has been a long time since I went back to SoCal, and a nice vacation is well overdue. Besides stuffing my face with food this next weekend, I plan on visiting a lot of people who I really have not contacted much since the semester started. There are tons of friends and family that I need to get in touch with, so it really looks like my vacation is going to be even more hectic and busy as my regular life back here in good ol' Merced. Oh well, only one more month until the ultimate vacation that is "winter break" starts. I can't wait to hit the slopes and get in some snowboarding time, before I head back down South again for some well deserved R&R. And the countdown begins.............

Never eat at John's Incredible Pizza.....

So almost been a week since I last blogged, and I have a couple of things on my mind that I would like to share. Last weekend was pretty fun, I got to relax a little which was a good thing. Went to a friends B-day party at John's Incredible Pizza in Fresno, and while it was a fun night overall, I am still feeling the after effects of indulging in their all-you-can eat menu. Never again will I go there. I can't really remember the last time I felt so sick after eating so much food. I need to know my limit. I have horrible habits when it comes to eating. I basically have only 1 real meal a day, which I hear is not a good thing. And usually that one meal is a big one (have to make up for all of those other meals I missed lol), so my stomach sometimes takes a real beating, especially if I eat at a place like John's Incredible. Oh well, you live and you learn.

Anyways, I am in a real crappy mood as of yesterday. My Dodgers lost a doubleheader in Colorado, and are basically done for the season. Being a diehard Dodgers fan, this is really depressing. Kind of like the feeling you get when you are anticipating some sort of present, and it never comes. A total letdown. Oh well, there is always next year, right? I seem to say that exact same thing every year, lol.

This weekend looks like a real fun one. I have two midterms to study for (one on tuesday, and the other on wednesday), and it looks like I will be really busy. Kinda bummed, as my younger brother is moving into his dorm at UCI on Sunday, and I won't be there to help him out with the process. This will be his first year, and I just wish that I didn't have those two midterms next week, or else I would have driven down to Irvine in a heartbeat. I know when I was moving into my dorm in Merced, he helped me out a lot with setting up my room, and that is something I won't forget. I wish I could return the favor, but sadly it doesn't look like I will be able to. Oh well, I plan on many fun trips to visit him throught the school year, so hopefully I will be able to make it up to him then.

So with that said, I am off to bed........

    Personality Test.......

    ">Personality Test

Hopefully this link works. I am not really that computer savy, so please bare with me.

Anyways, I totally have to agree with what this test has described me as. For anyone who has never taken it before, I recommend you to at least try it and see what the results say. According to the survey, I am a decisive and dependable person. How flattering. Now depending on who you ask, they might tell you something different, but I feel as though I am a pretty dependable and decisive kind of guy.

Well it's almost the end of the week, and it couldn't have come here soon enough. I have a birthday party for a friend planned for on Saturday, and then on Sunday it is back to the books. I don't ever remember being this busy during the school year. Must be my summer mindset still lingering. It seems like every day I have something due for one of my classes, and it is really taking its toll. I actually fell asleep at 7PM last night. Yeah, you heard right, 7 PM. I don't know why, I guess it was my bodies way of telling me to take it easy, but I have never had a better 13 hours of sleep in my life, so its all good.

I guess everything is going to get better soon though. I mean my Dodgers are kicking some Padre butt right now, and I do have the night off (thank God no hw due tomorrow), so hopefully this new trend will last for a little while. I mean it is only the middle of semptember, and I am anxiously counting down the days until Thanksgiving weekend. Haha, I think there is something wrong with me. I just need a nice little three day weekend to unwind and get back into the swing of things. Trust me guys, being lazy and having a busy schedule doesn't mix well.

Anyways, I better stop rambling before I get carried away, so I will officially call it a night and I wish anyone reading this a safe and fun-filled weekend!

    Peace,

    -John

  • Fast Weekends, Slow Weeks

Well its saturday night, and I just got finished creating my first ever blogging resource. And is it just me, or do the weekends seem to go by ridiculously quick ever since school started? Its crazy enough trying to juggle two jobs and school during the week, but when weekends seem to go by like a wink of an eyelash, then you know you are really busy!

Sometimes I just wish I could have an extra two hours a day just so I could get everything done. A 26 hour day would be ideal right about now. I have a quiz on monday that I desperately need to study for, so I have to hit the hay soon. I will leave my more intense and passionate blogs for another night, so please stay tuned. Wish me luck!!!!
